8 Reasons You Should Get Your Ass To Blog U 2016

Blog U 2016 tickets are now on sale!

What is Blog U, you may ask?

Well, you can read all about my experience last year in a previous post here

Basically, it’s a fun conference held in Maryland that is all about blogging, writing, SEO, publishing, aka EVERYTHING. Here are a few reasons why I feel it’s the greatest blogging conference ever…

  1. BlogU is relatively inexpensive compared to similar conferences.
This means more money you get to keep, for that sloth sanctuary you've always wanted to visit / live at.

2. You will learn SO MUCH INFORMATION that your head may explode.

…in a good way, of course. Depending on what classes you choose to attend, your brain will expand with blogging basics and copywriting tips until you resemble a sexy alien.

3. And most of the awesome information you learn, will be taught by hilarious people.

Actually, most bloggers that attend this particular conference are humor bloggers, who will have you pissing yourself.

4. You’ll be able to put your newfound knowledge to good use.

Since attending Blog U, I’ve written for numerous websites that I wouldn’t have had the confidence to pitch to before. I also snagged a few regular freelance jobs thanks to the skills I learned.

5. You can room in a college dormitory, which is nostalgic as crap.

The best part is trying to poop in the communal bathroom like a stealthy ninja.

6. Food is included, so go crazy.

Like, all you can eat cafeteria style. Broken taco? No problem! Just get another, or five.

7. There’s sure to be a themed highschool-ish dance involved.

Year one, the theme was 80's prom. Last year, awkward middle school. Whatever this years theme is, is sure to be just as good.

8. You and I can be best friends for the weekend! Like, LITERALLY connected at the hip and then Ben Carson will have to separate us and be like

Okay, that joke was stupid but I don't take it back.

Whether you’re a newbie or seasoned blogger, consider registering for BlogU. And if you decide to register, you can use this link, which is my affiliate link. It gives me blogger street cred, which I am in desperate need of. My gang signs have been so off lately.

They must be bloggers that are world travelers that get paid to blog or be funny or whatever. When I win the lottery next time, I’ll be there.

Okay I am not of a blogger. I meant to say I am NOT a blogger. Just a middle aged guy who enjoys laughing at the shit you write.

I was totally planning to go this time around, but my anxiety is telling me this is not the year for me. Already in the midst of working out too many other travel plans; the thought of trying to fit another event in makes me hyperventilate-y.

I’m sure I’ll be kicking myself later when I read everyone’s posts about what a great time they had.

If I wasn’t having to spend money to move (slightly closer to Maryland, as it turns out), I would go to this. Maybe next time…

Did I ever tell you’re my giphy hero? I agree with all ate of these – esp the one about all you can eat (see what I attempted but failed at back there?) …tacos are good but I like to put most emphasis on dessert.
